This is a qualitative case study, whose scenario is the non-profit representative entity National Executive Board of Speech-Language Pathology Students (DENEFONO). Data collection took place from July 24 to 28, 2019, during the National Speech Therapy Students Meeting, in Recife / PE, at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Participated in the research 5 undergraduate students of Speech Language Pathology, members of DENEFONO in the management 2018/2019. Data were produced by performing the focus group technique and analyzed using the Content Analysis method. From this, four categories of analysis were identified: The role of the entity that represents the speech therapy student in Brazil; Understanding of the members of DENEFONO about the political conjuncture of the country from 2016 to 2019; DENEFONO's political position in the period 2016-2019; and Impacts of the 2016-2019 political conjuncture for Speech Therapy and SUS.
