This study focuses on the air conditioning of a parish, where the existing system proved incapable of meeting the necessary thermal comfort conditions, showing an under-sizing of approximately 25TR. This resulted in a total required thermal load of 85TR, with only 60TR currently installed. The primary objective was to calculate the necessary thermal loads and propose improvements to the current system. To achieve this, technical site visits were conducted to analyze factors such as the orientation of the building faces, the presence of shadows, and the dimensions of walls, doors, windows, and the ceiling. These data enabled a detailed analysis of thermal exchanges, using technical standards NBR-16401_2008 and NBR-06401_1980 as references, with an emphasis on air infiltration criteria. The results highlighted that the initial design was inadequate to meet the thermal needs of the environment. Based on these findings, proposals were developed to readjust the system, ensuring optimal thermal comfort conditions, greater energy efficiency, and compliance with applicable standards.
