Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study with women of childbearing age between 19 and 49 years. Instruments used: socio-demographic questionnaire, BSQ questionnaire, body image questionnaire – Stunkard Figural Rating Scale, WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire. Results: Most women chose silhouette 4 to represent the current body and silhouette number 3 as ideal. From those, 89% would like to have a thinner body, and these women, along with the ones who judge their precarious current health, have greater chances of bodily intoxication. In women of reproductive age, body dissatisfaction is associated with greater inability to domains cognition, mobility, participation, interpersonal relationships and total score. Conclusion: Many women were dissatisfied with their bodies.
