Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Biomédica) - Departamento de Engenharia Biomedica, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61756This work deals with the development of an intraoral device to control snoring, especially focusing on its fourth version. The general objective of this research is to produce a prototype with a low final acquisition cost that minimizes the sleep respiratory disturbance that causes snoring, seeking to use 3D printer technologies. The methodology used was literature review and case study. Initially, the literature review methodology explored a vast scientific literature to understand the technological advances and manufacturing methods used in the creation of intraoral devices for snoring control. The case study was essential in the evolution of the intraoral device, representing a practical application and evaluation of the device in a controlled environment. Four previous prototypes were used as a basis for the 5th version of the device, which underwent experimentation and improvements in a selected patient with snoring symptoms. Data on usability, effectiveness in reducing snoring, and potential impact on sleep quality were collected through an app and software. These data were compared with previous versions, allowing for improvements and adjustments to the device to optimize it. The potential of the intraoral device, especially after its fourth version, in 3D printing to control snoring was remarkable. 3D printing technology offered advantages in custom and rapid production of devices, allowing for precise adaptations according to oral anatomy. This not only expedited the manufacturing process but also offered greater comfort and adaptation to the patient. It was concluded that practical application through a case study contributed to the continuous and refined development of the device, strengthening its potential as an effective solution in controlling snoring and possible associated sleep disorders.CC0 1.0 Universalhttp://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/Avanço mandibularRoncoDesvio de septo nasalProtótipo 3DEngenharia BiomédicaCriação e desenvolvimento de aparelho intraoral para auxiliar no tratamento do roncoCreation and development of an intraoral device to assist in the treatment of snoringbachelorThesis
