Thus, this research analyzes the integration of this individual. Utilizes the bibliographical methodology, as well as researches based on observations of evidences, interview results and several visits to specialized institutions. The importance of social inclusion is also verified, and the need of participation of the information professional in this process is emphasized. Comes to the conclusion that the librarian is fundamental in an information unit, wether it is aimed to special needs or not.
