The proposed solution implements asynchronous communication with support for multiple protocols, including AMQP for Fog and Cloud nodes and MQTT for resource-constrained edge devices, with HTTP as a fallback mechanism. An adaptive routing algorithm was developed to automatically select the most suitable protocol according to the computational layer of the target node. The work also includes the implementation of a node health monitoring mechanism with circuit breaker, capable of detecting failures and preventing requests from being sent to unavailable workers. Finally, automatic registration and re-registration mechanisms were created to ensure system recovery after Manager or Worker failures.
