Therefore, the overall objective of the research is to analyze how the healthcare structures in Caicó responded to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic as a global vector. In this context, the following methodological procedures were considered: literature review; fieldwork; mapping of research areas of interest; and analysis and tabulation of primary and secondary data collected. Thus, it was possible to observe how the municipality of Caicó became an influential city in the Seridó Potiguar region regarding the provision of healthcare services, notably during the pandemic period, due to the opening of new facilities and the arrival of new medical equipment for the proper treatment of patients affected by the virus.
