However, the lack of standardized clinical protocols and the greater susceptibility of young patients to tooth sensitivity require caution in the indication and execution of this treatment. This study aimed to report a clinical case of in-office tooth whitening in an adolescent, using a 6% hydrogen peroxide-based protocol, analyzing clinical, technical, and perceptual aspects. A 13-year-old male patient attended the Dentistry Department at UFRN, accompanied by his guardian, reporting dissatisfaction with the color of his teeth. The proposed treatment consisted of four in-office whitening sessions using 6% hydrogen peroxide (Whiteness HP Automixx 6% – FGM), with 50 minutes of application per session and seven-day intervals between them. Tooth color was assessed using the VITA® Classical shade guide before and after the procedure. At the end of the protocol, only minimal color change was observed, with no perceptible aesthetic improvement, despite the absence of adverse effects such as tooth sensitivity.
