The Oral Health Care Networks integrated dental care at different levels, from Primary Health Care (PHC), with a focus on prevention and health promotion, to secondary and tertiary levels, which include specialized services such as Dental Specialty Centers and large Hospitals, respectively. The Family Health Strategy, through the Family Health Unit, offers comprehensive health care, in which the dentist provides preventive and curative care to users according to their needs. The interns, under supervision, at the Aparecida USF in the Mãe Luiza neighborhood of Natal/RN worked in dental offices, performing preventive, educational and curative activities, but also outside this environment, making home visits and in schools in the Health in School Program (PSE). The experience in the ICU highlights the importance of Dentistry in hospital settings, since dental care in these contexts involves the prevention of oral infections, which can worsen the clinical condition of hospitalized patients.
