Since this is a subject little explored in the scope of literary research about this corpus, the work aims to analyze passages of the work that highlight the importance of female figures and how they influence the development of the narrative. Employing the methods of literary review and close reading, this work contextualizes the time in which the book was written, observing it primarily from the perspective of feminist criticism and inserting it within the scope of the dystopian genre, discussing how the characters are commonly represented in this literary field.
