Tratamento de hiperplasia coronoide por coronoidotomia: revisão integrativa da literatura. Orientador: André Luiz Marinho Falcão Gondim. 2024. 26 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Odontologia) - Departamento de Odontologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58552The hyperplasia of the mandibular coronoid process is an uncommon condition of uncertain etiology, characterized by abnormal elongation of the bone, with consequent limitation of mandibular movements. Coronoidotomy is a treatment technique that involves osteotomy and maintance of the hyperplastic fragment, and it is considered less invasive and simpler compared to the more usual technique, coronoidectomy. This study aims to analyze, through an integrative literature review, the results obtained in the treatment of coronoid process hyperplasia using the coronoidotomy technique. A search was conducted in the Pubmed/Medline, LILACS, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, including studies in all languages and without publication date restrictions. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 studies were selected for analysis. It was concluded that coronoidotomy is an effective technique for treating coronoid process hyperplasia, yielding satisfactory results in maintaining patients' mouth opening.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/PATOLOGIA BUCALCIRURGIA MAXILOFACIALANORMALIDADES MAXILOFACIAISTratamento de hiperplasia coronoide por coronoidotomia: revisão integrativa da literaturaTreatment of coronoid hyperplasia by coronoidotomy: integrative literature reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ODONTOLOGIA::CIRURGIA BUCO-MAXILO-FACIAL
