Thinking about children, we observe that socializing and playing are being practiced less, due to the excessive use of screens. How to raise awareness of bodies that are “connected”? How can we bring dance to raise awareness of these bodies? Thinking about these questions, articulating my experience in the classroom and the dialogue with authors such as Marques (2012), Miller (2012), Vianna (2005), we intend to reflect on the importance of dance as a formative language for citizens, inside and outside the school environment and discuss their contributions to the child’s better development. It is often heard that in these spaces of knowledge, dance is a moment of recreation, fun and reproduction of steps, thus nullifying its ability to contribute to citizenship formation. In this sense, we believe that the search for conscious movement is extremely important, where the dance teacher provides classes based on body awareness, because by sensitizing these contemporary bodies, which are in full development in their initial phase of life, one can exalt the child's genuine movements encouraging investigation and body self-knowledge.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Tecnologia, Dança para criança, Consciência corporal.Technology, Dance for children, Body awareness.A sensibilização do corpo na dança para criançasRaising awareness of the body in dance for childrenbachelorThesis
