Vulnerabilização em saúde ambiental: o caso da instalação do complexo automotivo no território de Goiana, Pernambuco, Brasil. 2018. 164f. Tese (Doutorado em Saúde Coletiva) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/26524This research was based on the reflection on the integrated approach of Collective Health and the environmental issue, considering the scenario of the coming of global industrial enterprises in the Brazilian local context, related to the productive restructuring of capital, with evidence for the automotive sector. The general objective of the study was to analyze the environmental health vulnerability resulting from the installation of the FCA / Jeep automotive complex in the city of Goiana, Pernambuco, especially on the Acaú-Goiana extractive reserve, with emphasis on the health, economic, political-social, cultural and environmental aspects of the territory, in order to construct a predictive matrix of vulnerabilities. Specifically, we involve discussing the environmental issue in the field of collective health in a theoretical-conceptual articulation with the field of political ecology; to understand the socio-sanitary profile of Goiana/PE prior and post installation of the automotive hub, as well as the impacts on the water resources of the territory and the consequences for human health; to construct an explanatory matrix based on the FPSEEA framework, with systematization of indicators for the monitoring of impacts / effects on the health of the local population and the environment. In addition, to analyzing the perception of the traditional extractive communities (Resex Goiana) on the dimensions of the processes of vulnerability caused by the hub, using the categories of social reproduction (ecological, biocommunal, communal-cultural, societal-economic and political reproduction). It is a case study of the qualitative type, descriptive and exploratory, realized in loco with presence of participant observer. Our methodological course involved the data collect with triangulation of techniques (primary and secondary data): field diary, interview, systematization of information systems / documentary research. The data were analyzed through the use of two theoretical-methodological models: the model of the production of environmental health indicators proposed by the WHO (Motive Force-Pressure-Situation-Exposure-Effect-Action) and the matrix of social reproduction proposed by Samaja. It was observed that the sociosanitary profile of Goiana did not improve after the installation of the automotive complex, there were aggravation of diseases related to work in the new production scenario, increase of victims of violence; expropriation of nature, erosion, increase of energy and water consumption; there were also affectations in the cultural scene of the city, such as the remove of saint holidays, estate speculation, gentrification, population migration and labor exploration. So we concluded that the study on environmental health vulnerability makes it possible to understand the aggravations in local contexts, nature, social relations and singular and communitarian life, resulting from the inequities and injustices caused by the power of Capital and the State to the detriment of social groups historically destitute and socioecological systems.
