One way to apply this management method is by BIM 5D, which put together 3D modeling, activities schedule and compositions and inputs. On this, this study aims to apply BIM tools in order to perform the planing of an execution stage of the foundation of a classroom block. The structural project was given away by UFRN infrastructure superintendence, in which its foundation was planned on pad foundation. In this job, an alternative model of strip foundation was created, in order to compare tool utilization and the implications of the differences caused by this model implementation on construction. The structural project was handed in 2D CAD, its 3D modeling was made on Revit 2018, which had programmed tables with quantities and material costs. This information were exported to Microsoft Project 2016, in which a spreadsheet was created with the activities schedule and the resources regarding to the job’s time and costs. The alternative model created in this study was handled by the same process, but its first model on Revit 2018 served as pre-sizing, which was exported to the structural analysis software Autodesk Robot 2018 which auxiliated on the sizing stage and was resent to Revit with the proper alterations. Both models were imported on Navisworks 2019 where the schedule compatibilization was made along with the model, generating virtual simulations from the executions.
