2022. 112f. Despite the emphasis given to prevention methods, the aging of the population and the increase in life expectancy naturally collaborate with the increase in the number of cases each year. Therefore, in this project, using methodologies, techniques, and tools for innovation, solutions are proposed for automated monitoring and control of the position of the bedridden patient in real-time, in order to help the correct execution of the decubitus change protocol (position of the lying person). For that, the concepts and contributions of institutions such as The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, and the Instituto de Estudos de Saúde Suplementar were used as the theoretical basis. As a result, two options for smart sensors can be observed, one of the less invasive, both with functional hardware and software architectures, capable of providing data to perform patient monitoring in real-time and to generate information that is presented via a graphical web interface.
