Because of its multiple etiology, there are models or approaches clinical, methodological, or therapeutic distinct from their theoretical bases, located at the intersection of numerous clinical strategies. The ASD can be found between numerous clinical strategies. The goal of the study is to analyze the interventional approaches in Psychology used in children with ASD in institutions in the city of Natal-RN/Brazil. This is a qualitative, exploratory, cross-sectional study, with the sample consisting of convenience. Seven psychology professionals were selected from three ASD reference institutions in the city of Natal-RN/. The instrument used was a questionnaire prepared by the researcher and the answers based in Bardin‟s analysis. Three categories of analysis were selected: 1) theoretical basis, 2) intervention and 3) benefits of each intervention proposal. The results showed the practical outline from the chosen theoretical framework that shapes the intervention proposals and the look at the child with ASD. From them, the study aimed to highlight the need to promote spaces for scientific discussion, enabling dialogues and building a diversity of ways of conceiving the disorder, as well as the recognition of the plurality that appears in each subject with the diagnosis of ASD.
