In recent years, various organizations and states have committed to eradicating this form of child labor, which has been justified as a family necessity over generations, contributing to its social acceptance. However, it is essential to understand how the historical and social process has exacerbated the normalization of child begging, exposing children and adolescents to this practice. This research focuses on the problem of child begging, especially in the Brazilian reality and in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Considering the reality of underdeveloped countries, it becomes evident how socio-economic conditions increase the vulnerability of certain families, allowing the exposure of children and adolescents to begging. Globally, Brazil, as a developing country, faces a significant recurrence of this problem. Therefore, there is an urgent need to investigate this multifaceted issue, which encompasses social, economic, cultural, and legal aspects. To effectively address this challenge, it is imperative to adopt an integrated and multidisciplinary approach. Using mainly the hypothetical-deductive method, this theoretical research, through an expository approach, seeks to draw parallels between child begging and intergenerational cycles of social challenges. Thus, this work aims to gather findings on the situation of children and adolescents affected by begging, specifically exploring Brazilian culture related to child labor in this context. By highlighting the historical and social roots of this phenomenon, the research aims to contribute to more effective strategies in combating child begging, aiming to ensure a more dignified and equal future for future generations.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Mendicância InfantilCrianças e adolescentesExploraçãoTrabalho Infanto-JuvenilFilhos da miséria: um estudo sobre a exploração da mendicância infantilChildren of misey: a study on the exploration of child beggingbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
