The goal of this study is to develop a proposal of a wellness center for the elderly using sensory architecture guidelines in order to promote an environment that supports and stimulates the physical, mental and social capacities of this group. In order to carry out this work, theoretical research was done on the architecture of a center for health promotion, quality of life and well-being, environmental perception and docility, universal design and sensory architecture, as well as direct and indirect reference studies. In addition, the design process of the architectural project includes analysis of the surroundings and the physical, environmental and design constraints of the intervention area, reflected in the program, pre-dimensioning and zoning, resulting in a concept design and an architectural design portrayed in the implantation, in the volumetric and in the architectural decisions of the present project.
