This is a study with a qualitative, action-research approach, describing the meetings and communication established with the research participants, as well as the application of 5S, the development of the dashboard, the participation in the inventory, ending with the application of a survey with the managers, who, in the health care model, had difficulties in measuring the costs in their business unit's pharmacy. The study revealed that the compromise of maintaining employee commitment and keeping financial aspects in consideration, as well as guaranteeing safety standards, are key elements for the successful evolution of the implemented model.
