We used remote sensing data for all 167 municipalities in the state, with daily resolution as a source for this analysis. The data passed by an initial treatment in an Excel environment and later Mann Kendall trend tests using RStudio software were applied. The results were mapped with Qgis software and allowed us to observe that the 167 municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Norte present a significant negative statistical trend in precipitation levels, with the western region of the state having the greatest increase in these levels and the eastern portion the smallest.
