Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Geografia) – Departamento de Geografia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64655This research purposes an analytical study of rainfall trends in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, northeast Brazil, during the period 2003-2019, to observe and geographically analyze the increases and decreases in annual precipitation values in the state's municipalities. We used remote sensing data for all 167 municipalities in the state, with daily resolution as a source for this analysis. The data passed by an initial treatment in an Excel environment and later Mann Kendall trend tests using RStudio software were applied. The results were mapped with Qgis software and allowed us to observe that the 167 municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Norte present a significant negative statistical trend in precipitation levels, with the western region of the state having the greatest increase in these levels and the eastern portion the smallest.
