It aims to understand the role of the librarian as a mediator of information and in the area of publishing, in particular in the preparation and dissemination of a publication by an Academic Center, in virtual mode in the midst of a Covid-19 pandemic. Discusses information sources and their types; the mediation of information through products and services, including the figure of the librarian as an editor, his relationship as a mediator with society, information, social protagonism and newspapers and newsletters as products; the student movement, history, ramifications and communication; CAZMA, the production of the newsletter and its importance. It uses as research sources several authors from the areas of Information Science, Social Communication and Education, documentary research on the student movement and on the highlighted publication, and report on the production of the newsletter. It shows the viability of producing and disseminating a virtual newsletter by the librarian, with the appropriate tools, knowledge and information, combined with technological advancement.
