Estado nutricional de recém-nascidos pré-termos internados em unidades neonatais. 2019. 21 f. Monografia (Especialização) - Curso de Nutrição, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Currais Novos, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/44458Abstract: Objectives: To evaluate the anthropometric status of premature newborns (PTNBs) hospitalized in Hospital Neonatal Units. METHODS: A descriptive longitudinal study was performed with hospitalized PTNBs and two public hospitals in Rio Grande do Norte, here referred to as hospital A and hospital B. During the hospitalization of PTNBs, data collection was performed using a semi-structured form with sociodemographic, obstetric and anthropometric variables of the PTNBs and their mothers, as well as the daily gain and weight loss of the preterm during hospitalization. Results: The sample included 30 PTNs. (Hospital A = 14, Hospital B = 16). In general, most of the mothers had attended high school (p = 0.002), had no complications during pregnancy (p = 0.000) and had inadequate nutritional status (overweight or underweight) at the end of gestation. In hospitals A and B, respectively, low birth weight infants were present in 92.9% and 56.3% of the cases; the daily weight gain of preterm infants was approximately 8.3 g / day and 28 g / day, respectively. the total weight gain had medians of 85.0g and 196.0g. At the end of hospitalization, the nutritional status of preterm infants in Hospital A (64.3%) and Hospital B (68.8%) was adequate for gestational age. Conclusion: In both hospitals there was a higher prevalence of preterm infants with insufficient birth weight. However, during the hospitalization, satisfactory weight gain occurred, resulting in weight adequacy at hospital discharge.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Avaliação NutricionalAntropometriaRecém-nascido prematuroNutritional assessmentAnthropometryPremature InfantEstado nutricional de recém-nascidos pré-termos internados em unidades neonataispostGraduateThesis
