The analyzed data were collected through a questionnaire applied with students that are studying Accounting Sciences as their second degree, to identify their perception regarding the abilities that this course can bring to their primary and secondary needs. In methodological terms, it can be classified as a descriptive quantitative research that aims to understand the behavior of a sample. The sample is composed of 48 students from the Accounting Science course, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, who already have a first degree. This sample corresponds about 7% from the total universe of sample, which is composed by 689 students enrolled in the first semester of 2020 year. Through the analysis, it was observed that most of the interviewed students believe that graduation can reasonably meet all their needs. The need that was seen at most of the interviewees’ responses was the self realization need. The remaining needs showed small values in relation to the capacity of hot being supplied or being little supplied. The study brings results capable of generating contributions to teaching professionals, as it shows, according to the student`s perception, how motivated the students are in relation to each type of need.
