Seridó Potiguar, made up of 25 cities, has a total of 16 museums, 15 of which have information available. Therefore, the objective of this work is to carry out an analysis of the profile of museums in the Seridó region, understanding their importance for tourism and appreciation of regional culture. Methodologically, the research is descriptive in nature with a qualitative approach to the information collected in documentary research. It uses the analysis of information in academic works, tourist inventories and Instagram pages. The theoretical framework articulates tourism and museums. The results are partial, but demonstrate limitations in relation to visitation and the appropriation of museums by tourism.
