Shoulder pain is one of the most common symptoms of rotator cuff tendinopathy. However, despite the growing number of studies, there is no consensus on the application of neuromodulation associated with an exercise protocol, making a study necessary to verify its effects on pain and range of movement in patients with shoulder tendinopathy. OBJECTIVES: To assess the effects of combining physical exercises with the neuromodulation technique on pain and range of motion. METHOD: This was an experimental double-blind controlled clinical trial. The subjects were assessed before and on the last day of the intervention using the NDT and the KINOVEA kinetic-functional assessment. A neuromodulation technique will be applied in two groups, in which one group will receive the active technique, while the other will receive the sham technique, but both will be subjected to a resistance exercise protocol consisting of isotonic and isometric exercises. RESULTS: The participants achieved statistically significant results when comparing the initial assessment with the reassessment, however, there was no relevant difference between the Active Etcc group and the Sham group. CONCLUSION: The physical exercise protocol proved to be positive in terms of pain reduction and improved range of motion, although neuromodulation was not responsible for any statistically significant difference.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Exercícios físicos resistidosEstimulação Transcraniana por Corrente ContínuaDor de ombroAmplitude de movimentoEfeitos da combinação de exercícios físicos resistidos com técnica de neuromodulação na dor e amplitude de movimento em indivíduos com tendinopatia crônica de ombroEffects of combining resistance physical exercises and neuromodulation technique on pain and range of motion in individuals with chronic shoulder tendinopathybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
