Method: The method adopted for the research was a descriptive review of the last ten years (2009-2019), with an elaborated search strategy of national studies using articles, periodicals and dissertations indexed in databases, SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Results and Discussion: In the analyzed studies it was observed that the data and situations coincide in the majority. Regarding physical therapy resources, the studies show the use of resources that are congruent and consistent with each other, and with the treatment phases to which they are proposed, actually performing and demonstrating an improvement in the patients' clinical status. Conclusion: Through the studies analyzed, one can conclude the proven effectiveness of physiotherapy for the treatment of burns.
