Through a detailed literature review and analysis of applicable strategies, practices such as the use of optimized horizontal meshes, deep grounding rods, and chemical soil treatments were investigated, proving effective in reducing electrical resistance and mitigating risks associated with atmospheric discharges. The results highlighted that applying these solutions, in compliance with technical standards such as IEEE Std 80 and ABNT NBR 15751, increases the reliability and efficiency of grounding systems, in addition to enabling the expansion of wind farms in high-resistivity soils. Continuous monitoring implementation was also emphasized as an essential practice to ensure the longevity and safety of installations, allowing preventive adjustments and predictive maintenance.
