Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Enfermagem) - Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/60968INTRODUCTION: The National Policy on Workers' Health recognizes health professionals as essential and seeks to ensure better living and working conditions. Stressful factors and inadequate habits contribute to the onset of chronic diseases, impacting the well-being of workers and the health system. Despite the benefits of adequate treatment, barriers to its adherence and continuity are still encountered. The objective of this work is to identify the main needs and barriers faced by health workers in the treatment of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs). METHOD: This is a Scoping Review, carried out between August and September 2024. The review followed nine steps, including the definition of questions and inclusion criteria, search and selection of evidence in the PUBMED, CINAHL, Web of Science, SCOPUS, COCHRANE, SCIENCEDIRECT, LILACS databases, in addition to gray literature: CAPES Theses and Dissertations Portal and ERIC. Editorials and opinion articles were excluded, and the data were organized and presented in tables. RESULTS: A total of 258,964 studies were initially identified, but only 27 were selected after meeting the eligibility criteria. The articles covered several regions (South America, North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa) and involved formal and informal health professionals. Most of the studies investigated barriers and facilitators in adherence to treatment for chronic diseases, exploring the perception of professionals. Some also analyzed strategies and programs, such as patient navigation. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Among the barriers identified, the following stand out: lack of training of professionals, scarcity of resources, emotional and socioeconomic issues. Strategies such as patient navigation can improve outcomes, but the lack of resources makes their implementation difficult.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/doenças crônicas não transmissíveissaúde do trabalhadorenfermagem do trabalhonecessidades e barreirasNecessidades e barreiras na linha de cuidados em trabalhadores da saúde com doenças crônicas não transmissíveis: revisão de escopoNeeds and barriers in the line of care of health workers with chronic non-communicable diseases: a scoping reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
