The cases involve women and their relationships with social norms and justice at the time. It also aims to analyze the cases, seeking to understand whether they reveal dynamics of resistance and transgression to moral and legal values. The concept of Social Spaces aims to highlight everyday life, family, love and work relationships, highlighting the experiences of women who lived in a world regulated by patriarchal conventions. The aim is to analyze the relationships between men and women, their experiences and how social norms particularly affected women “from below”, in the District of São José de Mipibu, during the 19th century. A comparison was made with a work by Isabel Gondim from Rio Grande do Norte, which offered models of female conduct, creating a counterpoint to the realities observed in criminal proceedings.pt-BRHistória das mulheres.
