Moreover, with the need to bring more technology and safety for production and because of the risks of pre-salt exploration, the platforms used are evolving to meet the requirements and, therefore, the FPSO platform “Floating Production Storage and Offloading” has been standing out. By having the capacity to produce, store, and offload, the FPSO adapted well to pre-salt production. Because it has very specific characteristics, production in the pre-salt requires an FPSO that has a design totally dedicated to it. Thus, the objective of this work is to relate the arrangements and conceptions of FPSO used in the pre-salt to obtain characteristics of their separation and treatment processes used in oil primary processing plants.
