Avaliação da qualidade microbiológica ao longo do processo de produção de sabonetes fabricados em indústria local. 2022. 59f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Química), Departamento de Engenharia Química, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/46243Analyzes to assess the microbiological quality of antiseptic soaps are essential todemonstrate the effectiveness of the various soaps currently available on the market. This is one of the essential requirements for the quality of a cosmetic product, as thepresence of contaminants can persist and cause disease. In addition, microbial contamination can generate changes in the formulation, acquiring an unwantedappearance and reducing the effectiveness of the product, which can generate risks for the health of the consumer. Soaps are cosmetic products recognized as susceptibletomicrobial growth and survival, which reinforces the importance of Good ManufacturingPractices (GMP), which is a fundamental requirement for quality products. Inthiscontext, this work has three objectives: i) to analyze the microbiological quality duringthe stages of the production process of soaps A, B and C, water and equipment. ii) perform microbiological analysis on soaps produced A, B and C. iii) test theeffectiveness of soaps produced in removing microbiological contamination fromthehands of volunteers. The analysis were performed by counting viable microorganisms, determining the presence of microorganisms, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella, total coliforms, fecal coliforms and total aerobicmesophilic bacteria. When analyzing the effectiveness of soaps A, B and C, it wasfound that antiseptic soaps A and B, which were produced in the presence of theantiseptic agent Triclosan, eliminating the microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, total coliforms and total aerobic mesophilic bacteria. However, soap C, which does not contain an antimicrobial agent in the formulation, showed only an average reduction of 64.6% of total aerobic mesophilic bacteria and62% of Staphylococcus aureus. In view of the results obtained, the importanceof guiding the use of antiseptic soaps and their proof of effectiveness to ensure safeguidance in their use and purpose is highlighted.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Avaliação microbiológicaSabonetes antissépticosTriclosanMicrobiological evaluationAntiseptic soapsAvaliação da qualidade microbiológica ao longo do processo de produção de sabonetes fabricados em indústria localEvaluation of microbiological quality throughout the production process of soaps manufactured in a local industrybachelorThesis
