In the realm of healthcare, physiological monitoring of the body through sensors can aid in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases. This work presents the development of a biofeedback system for a rowing machine that monitors the distance and force exerted by a user. The system comprises a portable electronic device that utilizes IoT to publish relevant user information and provides visual feedback through a game. Users can interact with a monitor through the movement of the chair. The system was developed using electronic engineering and programming techniques. The portable device is based on an IoT microcontroller that measures distance using an ultrasonic sensor and force using a load cell. Visual feedback is provided by a Python API utilizing the Pygame library. The system was tested on a prototype rowing machine under development in the manufacturing laboratory of UFRN.
