Elaboração de guia de diluição e estabilidade de medicamentos injetáveis vigentes em hospital materno infantil de Caicó-RN. 2019. 61 f. Monografia (Especialização) - Curso de Residência Multiprofissional em Saúde Materno-infantil, Universidade Federal Rio Grande Norte, Caicó, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/44467The objective of the study is to gather adequate and standardized information on the stability of medications for parenteral administration after dilution, for the purpose of preparing a guide with pertinent guidelines for this practice, in order to reduce errors related to the administration of medications. The guide was developed by consulting technical-scientific information from highly reliable sources. (Micromedex®, UpToDate® and clinical pharmacy books), in addition to leaflets from pharmaceutical laboratories and/or sources provided by the drug manufacturer. A full of 89 drugs were analyzed and technical information was provided on their parenteral use. Of the drugs analyzed, 64 (71.91%) can be involved in drug incompatibility if administered in Y-site device concomitantly, the incompatibilities produce about 20% of all medication errors and almost 89% of general medication administration errors. There are few studies that address this issue, which also gives relevance to the study. Ensuring the provision of technical-scientific and independent information about the drug is the pharmacist's responsibility, contributing to avoid errors, consequently, improving patient safety.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Estabilidade de medicamentos.Hospitais.Segurança do paciente.Elaboração de guia de diluição e estabilidade de medicamentos injetáveis vigentes em hospital materno infantil de Caicó-RNElaboration of a guide of dilution and stability of injectable drugs in force in Maternal and Child Hospital of Caicó-RNpostGraduateThesis
