METHODOLOGY: This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative and descriptive approach, with a sample of 68 climacteric women, aged 40 to 65 years. The instruments used were: questionnaire with identification data, sociodemographic and anthropometric data; Stages of Reproductive Aging Workshop (STRAW) to assess the menopausal stage and Body Attitudes Questionnaire (BAQ) to investigate body attitudes. The data was explored quantitatively. The Student's t test was used and statistical significance was adopted at p < 0.05. RESULTS: The majority of women were overweight (73.5%). The BAQ mean was 126.4 (±12.3) and body attitudes were similar for eutrophic and overweight women, however, the means for overweight women were higher for the topics of attractiveness and feeling fat from BAQ. CONCLUSION: The study suggests that overweight women feel more attractive and fatter than their normal counterparts.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/climatério; estado nutricional; satisfação corporal.climacteric; nutritional status; body satisfaction.Estado Nutricional e Atitudes Corporais em Mulheres no ClimatérioNutritional Status and Body Attitudes in Climacteric WomenbachelorThesis
