Atividade eletromiográfica durante a prática mental em pacientes pós-AVE: um estudo observacional. 2016. 22 f. TCC (Graduação) - Curso de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Santa Cruz/RN, 2016.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/34158To investigate whether during Mental Practice (MP) muscular recruitment occurs in the upper limb of patients after stroke through surface electromyography (EMG). Methodology: A cross-sectional observational study was performed with 20 post-stroke (G1) and 20 healthy subjects (G2). They were used in the Mental State Mini Exam, Functional Independence Measure, Fugl-Meyer Rating Scale - Upper Limb, Ashworth Modified Scale, Berg Balance Scale and EMG to assess muscle electrical activity during Voluntary Contraction (Task 1), Mental Reproduction Practice (Task 2), and Observational Mental Practice (Task 3). Results: EMG showed significant differences only in TB and in task 1 of G2 BB (p <0.001), TB and EP 2 Task in both groups (p-value <0.005) and in Task 1 with EP Task 2 in G1 (p-value <0.005). Conclusion: MP was able to promote significant increase in muscle recruitment when compared to TB of wrist extensors in both groups.embargoedAccessAcidente Vascular EncefálicoPrática MentalEletromiografiaAtividade eletromiográfica durante a prática mental em pacientes pós-AVE: um estudo observacionalElectromyographic activity during mental practice in post-stroke patients: an observational studybachelorThesis
