For nursing education, its adoption provides a practical and immersive learning experience. In this regard, the aim is to map the literature on the application of virtual reality in undergraduate nursing education. Method: This is a scope review prepared in accordance with the JBI framework, guided by the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The article selection was conducted in January 2024 across twelve data sources. The results were descriptively analyzed and synthesized into a table. Results: Twenty-three articles were selected for the research synthesis. The included studies were conducted between 2020 and 2024, with a notable concentration of publications in 2023. Regarding geographical origin, the majority of the studies originated from the Asian continent. Furthermore, it was observed that 69.6% of the works adopted virtual reality glasses with the intervention groups. Additionally, the majority of students who participated in the interventions generally experienced a positive sentiment towards VR.
