Estudo Sobre Medicamentos Humanos Utilizados em Prescrição Veterinária. 2019. 38f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Farmácia) - Departamento de Farmácia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/35777Prescription of licensed drugs for human therapies in animals is currently a very common practice, considering the choice of drug, the therapeutic agent that best suits the patient's physiological dysfunction, its diagnosis, prognosis and cost benefit. The present study aimed to address the reality of prescribing human line drugs used by veterinary medicine. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, which used as a research instrument the information taken from the withholding prescription notifications, drugs listed in Ordinance SVS No. 344/98 and antimicrobials (RDC 44 / 2011- Anvisa), in a community pharmacy in the city of Natal / RN, from June to September 2019. The study showed a significant number of human line drugs prescribed for veterinary use: 28 drugs (32.94%) were substances subject to special control, 46 (54.12%) of antimicrobials and 11 (12.94%) of MIPs that were in the joint prescription with antimicrobials. Among the antimicrobials, the most prominent ones were amoxicillin + Clavulonate 6 (7.06%), Tobramycin 6 (7.06%) and Rifamycin 6 (7.06%). Among the prescriptions of substances subject to special control: 11 (12.94%) were opioid analgesics, 1 (1.17%) non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, selective cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor, 13 (15,29 %) anticonvulsants and 3 (3.53%) tranquilizers. The most frequently prescribed pharmaceutical forms were: drops (34.11%), followed by tablets (32.94%), ointments (7.06%), solutions / suspension (15.29%) and Spray's. (10.59%). As for the cost of these drugs it was observed that the human line, in general, have lower monetary values than the animal line, indicating that one of the factors that motivated this type of prescription was also the lower price. It is concluded, therefore, that as human line drugs, those for veterinary use, should have greater therapeutic action, availability in the market, besides having quality, safety and efficacy to prevent, cure, promote health and quality of life. to animals and those who live with them, as well as to treat the environment, as well as being attractive as to the cost in their acquisition.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Prescrição, Fármacos, Medicina Veterinária.Estudo Sobre Medicamentos Humanos Utilizados em Prescrição VeterináriabachelorThesissaúde
