The research methodology consisted of consulting books, scientific articles, monographs by other authors, maps and materials available on the internet related to the work topic, aiming to obtain the necessary theoretical foundation. Information regarding the legislation that regulates mineral exploitation in the country and in the state was obtained mainly from the websites of federal state or municipal managing bodies. In addition, fieldwork was carried out to obtain data, which, through integration and analysis, made it possible to diagnose the main problems affecting the environment in these areas. The geological context of this region is represented by the Paleoproterozoic crystalline basement and recent sedimentary formations, facts that enhance the implementation of licensed mining enterprises for the production of crushed stone, sand, clay and gravel from these units.
