A utilização do método GPR para correlação das atividades antrópicas com episódios de movimentos de massa e queda de blocos na Praia de Pipa/RN. Orientadora: Marcela Marques Vieira. 2022. 105 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Geologia) - Departamento de Geologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50755The eastern coast of the Rio Grande do Norte state is made of beaches with scenic landscapes that contribute to the tourism in the region. The study area is located in Pipa beach Tibau do Sul city approximately 86 km from the capital Natal. Coastal tablelands, dunes, sandy beaches and sea cliffs compose the landscapes of Potiguar coast. Sea Cliffs of Pipa beach are part of its famous scene, providing a spectacular and panoramic view of the sea. However, they have become a dangerous attraction due the accesses of observation points. This caused by the recurrent mass movements on the cliff edges related to erosion processes. The erosion of these landscapes occurs through a natural, predictable and dynamic process and the intensity of the shrinkage is directly related to the massive urbanization. Therefore, the main results of the present study is the identification of geophysics anomalies a propably associated with pipes and non-native plant roots, at 1.3 and 0.8 meters depth, respectively. These data along field observation infer the anthropic interference on the environment, due the presence Rainwater channels and drainage over the cliff. The impact and consequences of anthropic action on this environment is the main objective of this work, through the monitoring of stormwater and active drainage, given the high level of vulnerability provided. The use of GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) was effective in detecting anomalies (pipes, roots and associated fractures) that are the result of anthropic actions. Risk assessment contributes to coastal management, and integrates the branches of forensic and environmental geology. Forensic field can assist in liability inquiries where there have been accidents or crimes of a geological nature, pointing out irregularities in the coastal planning of the city.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/GPRGeologia ForenseFalésiasMovimentos de massaForensic GeologySea CliffsMass MovementsA utilização do método GPR para correlação das atividades antrópicas com episódios de movimentos de massa e queda de blocos na Praia de Pipa/RNbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRACNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIASCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOLOGIA
