Initially, we performed the synthesis of this ferrite using the sol-gel method with chitosan cross-linked with glutaraldehyde. The gel containing the metal ions is placed in a basic medium and then dried in an oven at a temperature of 80 °C. Subsequently, the material is subjected to a heat treatment at 800 °C for 2 h in a normal atmosphere. We used various concentrations of V in the doping of the Iron site, NiFe(2-x)V(x)O4, however we were only able to dope with a maximum content of 0.5 Fe, i.e. x={0; 0.25; 0.50}. The x-ray diffractograms of the samples showed characteristic peaks of the nickel ferrite phase with crystallite sizes in the range of 14,0-21,4 nm. The magnetic measurements showed ferromagnetic behavior with significant values of coercivity, remanence, and magnetization at a field of 15 kOe in the range of 21,3 - 28,4 emu/g.
