The oncology care actions to be supported with resources raised through the National Oncology Care Support Program (PRONON) comprise the fields of education, training and improvement of human resources for professionals working in the health sector. General objective: Analyze the meanings and contributions of the educational actions promoted by the National Cancer Care Support Program for graduates. Method: This is a mixed study, with a first phase with a quantitative, descriptive approach whose theoretical framework was guided by the assumptions that support Permanent Health Education – EPS. In a second phase, a study with a qualitative approach was carried out. Results: The categories pointed to the contributions of educational actions for both the professionals who participated and the institutions executing the Project. Final Considerations: It is considered that there was important evidence in the contribution of educational actions to promote the transformation of health work practices among graduates. From another perspective, some difficulties also appeared, for example, the lack of continuity of actions. The findings indicate the importance of continuing programs such as PRONON, and that they be expanded, taking into account that their actions do not have resources foreseen in the general budget as direct expenditure by the Ministry of Health. The study carried out, despite limitations arising from the fact that it only analyzed two institutions, from the Northeast and Southeast Regions of the country, allowed us to extract information regarding the meanings and contributions of the educational actions of PRONON for egress.
