Detecção dos genes blaIMP-1, blaNDM-1 e blaVIM-1 em bacilos gram negativos isolados no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte. 2016. 59f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Ciências Biológicas) - Centro de Biociências, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2016.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/28270Bacterial resistance is a growing public health problem worldwide and dissemination of antimicrobial resistance genes comprises a recurring concern. Faced with this alarming situation. Faced with this problem it was decided to conduct a study to detect the occurrence of Metallo-beta-lactamases (MBLs) types: blaIMP-1, blaNDM-1 and blaVIM-1 in Gram-negative bacilli recruited three health centers of reference in State of Rio Grande do Norte, during the period January 2013 to December 2015. The study included 100 bacterial isolates with reduced susceptibility profile to carbapenems. Of these, 57 were positive for the phenotypic screening MBL (using EDTA as MBL inhibitor) and 6 in the molecular screening, in which the blaNDM-1 gene was detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Bacterial isolates that showed more resistance to carbapenems were: Acinetobacter spp. (N = 38), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (n = 47) and Klebsiella sp. (N = 14). It is expected that these results could be extended and used as a reference at a state level, preventing dispersion of this resistance and also serving as an additional national data to build a more reliable profile in respect to the epidemiology of this resistance mechanism.Acesso AbertoMBLResistênciaCarbapenêmicosPseudomonas aeruginosaAcinrtobacter sp.Klebsiella sp.Detecção dos genes blaIMP-1, blaNDM-1 e blaVIM-1 em bacilos gram negativos isolados no Estado do Rio Grande do NortemasterThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS
