It is hypothesized that all these changes may negatively interfere with the woman's functionality during pregnancy. The objective of the study is to know the main biological, psychological and social demands that pregnancy brings, to characterize the sample in terms of clinical, obstetric and sociodemographic aspects, as well as to link the women's speech to the main components and categories of the ICF. The speeches of Brazilian pregnant women were collected through the methodology of focus groups, soon after, analyzed through the content analysis elaborated by Minayo (2012) and Campos (2004). After the content analysis, the statements were linked to the components and categories of the ICF, using the linking method proposed by Cieza (2019). The component most impacted by pregnancy based on the pregnant women's statements was Activity and Participation, with the following most mentioned categories linked to mobility, emotional functions, and close family support as a facilitator in the gestational process.
