After a system open loop analysis, it was found that the behavior of the output variable (temperature) for the two manipulated inputs (acting on the power and resistance refrigeration unit) resulted in pure capacity type systems. Based on the concepts of the proportional controller is able to avoid off-set in pure capacity systems, such type was chosen to close the loop with Split-range strategy reverse sequential action, acting in the electrical resistances for heating and condensing unit for cooling. Tests were conducted in closed loop with different values for the proportional gain controller and a performance analysis was based on the absolute errors integration method (IAE).
