It is important to understand the pattern of behavior that such neoplasia presents in our society so that health services can better plan prevention and screening actions. Objective: to describe the temporal evolution of thyroid cancer mortality in Brazil between 2010 and 2020. Method: Ecological study of time series based on data from the Mortality Information System (SIM). Data collected regarding mortality due to malignant thyroid neoplasms in the national territory, from 2010 to 2020. Mortality rates were calculated for the presented sections using population estimate data provided by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics for the average year of the period (2015). To tabulate the data, mortality rates were calculated and graphs were created that demonstrate the fluctuation in the behavior of the values obtained. Results: The mortality trends observed in the Brazilian scenario for the decade 2010 to 2020 denote the prevalence of mortality among women and in the population over 40 years of age. With emphasis on the year 2019 with the highest number of total deaths (869), and the year 2012 with the lowest number of cases (603). Regarding mortality among the younger population, from 0 to 19 years of age, there are not very expressive values. Finally, we highlight that the age groups from 40 to 59 years and 60 to 79 years end the decade in decline, 80 years or older is the only age group within the five presented that ends with growth. Conclusion: Therefore, it is clear the relevance of such information in the planning of health actions aimed at prevention and screening, in order to enable the reduction of the current mortality rateshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcodeRegistros de MortalidadePerfil de SaúdeNeoplasias da Glândula TireoideFatores de RiscoMortality RegistriesThyroid NeoplasmsHealth ProfileRisk FactorsTendências de mortalidade para neoplasia maligna de tireóide no Brasil entre 2010 e 2020: estudo ecológicoMortality trends for malignant thyroid neoplasia in Brazil between 2010 and 2020: ecological studybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM::ENFERMAGEM DE SAUDE PUBLICA
