Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Bacharelado em Jornalismo) - Departamento de Comunicação Social, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/53290Football fans are essential in stadiums in Brazil and around the world due to their motivational actions and support for the players and the club, such as the chants they sing. This research aims to establish an understanding of powerful sound media based on the sounds emitted by crowds, specifically the sounds made by fans inside football stadiums during matches. The concept of "fan-media" is presented from the anthropology of crowds, and the musicality of fan chants is positioned in the context of sound media. The methodology includes a bibliographical research based on theoretical frameworks in the field of Journalism Studies, specifically in the production of sound content, and a fieldwork was also conducted to catalog examples of chants sung by fans of Brazilian clubs as well as other countries such as Argentina and England. As a data collection technique, eight songs from national and international teams, available on streaming platforms, were cataloged and analyzed using Content Analysis and the concept of Sound Media. To contribute to the theoretical foundation, we used authors such as John B. Thompson (1998), Laurence Bardin (2016), Eduardo Galeano (2004), Michel Maffesoli (2007), Michel Foucault (1999), José Zilmar Alves da Costa (2023), among others.TorcidaCânticoFutebolMídiaSonoridadeMídia, torcida e musicalidade: um estudo no contexto dos estádios de futebolbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::COMUNICACAO
