A complexidade das razões de não notificação dos casos de violência contra a mulher e as medidas de enfrentamento da Lei Maria da Penha. Orientadora: Prof.(a). Dr(a). Maria Célia Correia Nicolau. 2024. 45f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação) - Curso de Serviço Social, Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/63386The study addresses the underreporting of cases of violence against women, which is considered to be of great importance, since domestic violence against women is an old problem that affects a large number of women and, often, in a silent, concealed and destructive way. This final course work analyzes the problems involving women in situations of violence that are the subject of study and investigation. The general objective is to understand the complexity of the reasons why many women do not report their aggressors. Thus, it is essential to address the historical process of the emergence of patriarchy and how it is present to this day, in which women in situations of violence are (almost) always blamed for the aggression of which they were or are victims. It understands and analyzes the progress of protection for women, through the protective measures of the Maria da Penha Law. In this way, it addresses the importance of reporting to break the cycle of violence and raise awareness among women with information about the Maria da Penha Law and its services for protection against violence, to encourage them to break the silence. Violence negatively affects women's overall well-being and prevents them from fully participating in society. The methodology used to achieve the objectives proposed in this work was bibliographical and documentary research, using as research sources: books, theses, articles, journalistic materials, as well as information on websites and documents of official bodies, which contributed to the collection and analysis of data. We conclude, through study and research, that the complexity of the reasons for non-reporting of cases of violence against women is related to: the existence of an emotional and economic dependence on their partner, fear of possible new aggressions, lack of trust in the responsible public institutions, as these carry traces of the patriarchal ideology consolidated in a capitalist society.
