It is important to say that the Supervised Internship in Physical Education, whether mandatory or not, is a very important tool for developing the teaching capabilities of new teachers, since countless situations can only be experienced when exposed to everyday school life. In this sense, this text aims to report and debate the practices experienced in the period corresponding to 2 (two) years, at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), Parnamirim campus, where classes were monitored and taught to classes from the 1st to 4th years of technical high school, teachers, outsourced workers from the campus and students of subsequent and higher courses, as well as addressing the importance of this stage for the academic training of new teachers. This is an experience report where the methodological procedures used were the qualitative approach taking advantage of the descriptive method. It is concluded that this experience brought acquisition possibilities in terms of gaining knowledge about routine and dealing with high school students, as well as quality of life practices at work.
