Envelhecimento e tecnologia: utilização de heurísticas de usabilidade para a análise de interface de um aplicativo e-commerce com vistas ao uso por pessoas idosas. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Departamento de Design, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/65036With the aging population and the increasing inclusion of older adults in digital environments and online shopping, it becomes essential to design accessible interfaces that promote their autonomy and take into account their cognitive abilities and capacities. This research analyzed the usability of an e-commerce application from the perspective of older adults — using the Shopee app as a case study — through the Heuristic Evaluation method. Two sets of heuristics were used: Nielsen’s ten heuristics, focused on general usability, and the twelve heuristics by Santa Rosa, Pinho, and Vivacqua, which are specific to the experience of older adults in mobile applications. The evaluation followed the methodological framework proposed by Santa Rosa and Santa Rosa, which includes the stages of preparation, recruitment, training, heuristic evaluation sessions, and compilation of results. A questionnaire was also administered to the evaluators to understand their perceptions of the combined use of both heuristic sets, as well as to assess the adequacy and relevance of specific guidelines in evaluating interfaces for this audience. The combination of heuristics proved effective in identifying barriers that impact the autonomy of older adults, due to the complementary perspectives they provide. In total, 103 usability issues were identified — 53 related to Nielsen’s heuristics and 50 to the heuristics of Santa Rosa, Pinho, and Vivacqua. The results reinforce the importance of including older adults in the design process and provide valuable insights for the development of more inclusive interfaces that support the independence, usability, and active participation of this population in the information society.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Avaliação HeurísticaGerontecnologiaPessoa IdosaAcessibilidade Digital.Envelhecimento e tecnologia: utilização de heurísticas de usabilidade para a análise de interface de um aplicativo e-commerce com vistas ao uso por pessoas idosasAging and Technology: An Interface Analysis of an E-commerce Application for Older Adults Using Usability HeuristicsbachelorThesisOUTROS
