Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Farmácia) - Departamento de Farmácia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58600Postbiotics are defined as preparations of inanimate microorganisms and/or their components that confer benefits to the health of the host and can be valuable assets for cosmetic formulations. Thus, the objective of this work was to carry out a literature review on the application of postbiotics as active ingredients in cosmetic formulations. The search was carried out in the Scopus, Web of Science and Scielo databases, selecting 14 articles. The studies found indicate that postbiotics have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, useful in the treatment and prevention of various dermatological conditions, such as acne, alopecia areata and wound healing. Furthermore, there is evidence suggesting that postbiotics can positively influence the skin microbiota, which is essential for skin health. However, more research is needed to fully understand its mechanisms of action and clinical effectiveness. Despite gaps in the literature, postbiotics are a promising topic for research, with the potential for new therapeutic and preventive solutions for a variety of skin conditions.CC0 1.0 Universalhttp://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/pós-bióticoscosméticosAplicação de pós-bióticos em cosméticos: uma revisão de literaturaApplication of postbiotics in cosmetics: a literature reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
